The Right Way to Find New Readers for Your Blog

by Ryan Harper

Popular blogs are always full of activity as readers of the blog leave comments, talk about the blog, share it with others and help it become important to the rest of your blogging community. So the real question that arises, then, is this: why are some blogs experiencing so much interest from their target audiences while others don't get to enjoy the fun of a loyal readership? Why do some blogs look like they're getting all the attention while the others resemble a ghost town? Traction is the answer to these questions: bloggers who put honest and real effort into getting more readers for their blogs enjoy much higher levels of traction than the blogs of bloggers who do not make this concentrated effort. Here are three simple and easy to understand ideas that will help you get lots more readers.

Conducting interviews with the other bloggers in your niche is a fantastic way to grow your new reader numbers and to make sure that the readers are actually interested in what you have to offer. That's right; this could prove to be a win-win situation, mainly because the bloggers that you interview will most definitely feature your blog post on their own blog, linking to the interview that you took and put up. This is a great chance to simultaneously exchange traffic with another blog and provide true value to your readers without anybody having to pay for it.

If you want to consistently be able to attract new readers to your blog then you need to be very persistent because if you give up then you obviously won't reach your goals. Your aim here is to get more and more blog readers without having to compromise on the quality of your blog. You will be able to achieve so much more with your blog when you learn how to properly practice persistence. It's okay if you don't see any massive success coming in your direction because if you stick to your objectives, you'll see that progress happens and that your big day is nearer all the time.

When you want to try to increase your blog's readership through these different methods it is important to think about guest blogging too. If you haven't ever guest blogged before, there is no better time to start trying it out. You will see that when you send guest posts to popular blogs within your niche or to a blog that gets lots of heavy traffic, you'll automatically increase your own readership at the same time because of the traffic that that blog will generate for yours. Start with the blogs that openly accept guest posts and when you've reached high levels of success there, move on and make contact with the other blogs that are popular to see if you might be able to guest post there as well.

You can do so much to grow your blog and find new readers but before you find success there you need to focus on providing high value consistently. Once your blog gains a strong position in the eyes of your target audience and gets known for giving away high quality content, everything else will simply fall in place. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and get to work on implementing these tips and then watch the heavy flow of traffic start up for your blog.
